Single cannabis joint linked with temporary psychiatric symptoms, review finds

As someone who smoked for years every single day... one day it just started making me paranoid. I still smoked it, because it was a habit, and I still liked how it made me hungry, and I couldn't sleep without it. After a while I had to quit, because the paranoia got worse and worse. I later found out a lot of my friends(we were all pot heads growin up and in college) quit weed eventually for the same reason.

For some reason it seems for a lot of people, you can smoke for a few years, but then for whatever reason it starts effecting you differently, and instead of making you feel relaxed, and feel good, it makes you paranoid, and sometimes gives you migraines.

I now smoke hemp flower, because I still like the taste, but even today, after years of quitting, if I smoke or eat an edibile, there's a more than 50% chance I'll get paranoia from it. I'm not some noob... I used to smoke heavily every day for years, used to pick up 1/2 lb and sell to my friends/neighborhood so I could smoke for free. As you said, it affects everyone diffrently. As far as smoking and driving, I think that it makes it harder to drive pretty objectively, but to each their own.

I think my problem with people saying it's okay to smoke and drive, is that it's like saying "it's okay to drink and drive". It's fine to drink 2 beers and drive. It's fine to smoke a moderate amount of weed and drive. But, even if you're an every day heavy smoker, and you smoke/eat a particularly high amount of marijuana that day, it can impact your driving abilities. So, like alcohol, it's a matter of dosage, and saying "It's okay to smoke and drive" is like telling someone "it's okay to drink and drive" IMO.
