Nordic countries also have massively expanded unions. Socialists look at Nordic countries and see a system of governance that would be much more inclined to allow socialism to happen as opposed to America where socialism is basically seen as evil. Don't try to put words in socialists mouths. If you don't understand why socialists would want social democratic policies to be implemented then you shouldn't be talking about the subject.

The difference between social democrats and socialists is that social democrats see Nordic model countries as an end goal, whereas socialists see them as a stepping stone. Capitalism will inherently exist for years or even decades in the beginning of any socialist system. Your failure to understand that doesn't make the socialists ignorant. It makes you ignorant.
