The way SMGs are deployed currently generally do not involve the run-n-gun techniques you might be referencing which were popular with things like tec-9 years ago. Yes, force buy rounds for Ts involve MAC-10s and lots of rushing and spraying.. which is the way that gun was designed to be used and makes sense for Ts.. but the win % of these rounds is ridiculously low and I think this sort of strat will see less and less use over time
