Sitting and Watching It All Go Down...

I am not trying to give advice on surgery and I think it would be useful to explore your feelings and discover where they’re coming from. Getting to know yourself could help with those feelings.

So far as surgery goes it’s physically very difficult. Organs are literally removed (obviously) and with those a lot of lymph nodes. You fraud fluid for about a week and have to collect it in bottles that get taped on. It’s pretty gross. Then you can’t shower for a long long time and you can’t lift anything or raise your arms up. It’s a really tough recovery, you need someone to take care of you, and it gets sore not being able to roll on your side or get proper exercise. It’s not “no big deal” whatsoever. And the whole time you know you can’t take it back. As I said I was really scared going in.
