Six months after inauguration, no confirmation for Tony Evers' cabinet

I'm not understanding how I'm playing favorites there.

I don't expect you to, at least not in conversation with someone who is challenging you on it. I have no expectation that you would admit it.

You advocate for legislative reigning in and banning of an organization you disagree with, citing a belief that the organization has outgrown its original purpose and, as a result of its success, must be diminished at the legislative level. When presented with an organization you agree with that shares the same criticisms, you aren't willing to support the same kind of legislative-level diminishment and dismantling of the organization by the same logic. At best, you can make vague references to the power of "both sides" needing to be reduced.

I don't expect you to admit how hypocritical you are being, but I hope you at least think about it and ask yourself why you are making a special case for the organization you like, so as to not hold it to the same standard of the organization you don't like. Your process is broken because it is controlled by motivated reasoning.
