The Sixers went from having a log jam in the front court with Noel/Jah/Embiid, to having Okafor as the only active one on the roster

When Embiid sat out his second straight season, I thought the 76ers needed to move forward with the idea that if he played, it was a luxury that they could work out later. I didn't think they should be quick to count on him being a foundational piece moving forward. It seemed a lot of fans had that mindset.

Then he started playing, and it seemed like everyone abandoned that mindset, including our dumbass GM who traded the key insurance piece away.

You know why you keep and max Noel? Because in two years, Embiid might not even be in the NBA. We're talking about a guy who sustained a season-ending injury with minutes restrictions and nonparticipations during back-to-backs in place. We're talking about a guy who will play in about 12% of the games he could possibly participate in during his first three seasons under contract.

Now he's hurt again, the only other viable alternative is gone, and the only dude left is arguably a bust. If I didn't get a job offer for what I've been working toward over the last three years today, I'd probably be crying.
