[Skin Concern] HELP! Potential delayed reaction to Benzoyl Peroxide?? Info in comments.

The redness around your eyes, this happened to me when I started using benzoyl peroxide. I applied it, let it dry, and then applied moisturizer. It was super red, like a burn, and flakey. Painful to the touch but not swollen. Come to find out, the way I applied moisturizer was spreading the BP onto my eyelids. The eye area is way too sensitive for BP. Applying moisturizer to my eye area, then applying BP, then applying moisturizer to the rest of my face, avoiding my eye area completely, made the redness, tenderness, and flacking go away completely. I would visit a derm or GP to be on the safe side, but this looks like a chemical burn or over exfoliation to me. If you want to try BP in the future in case it isn't an allergy, completely avoid touching the eye area once it has been applied. Also a low dosage is best. I only use 2.5% and it keeps my skin clear. I also had the same experience moisturizing after using stridex. I avoid my eye area completely after applying anything to my face. I moisturize them first.
