Sounds possibly like a recently developed allergy/sensitivity to a product/ingredient? I don't have any further advice, sorry. :( Earlier last year I had developed painful(from always cracking) dry lips and it would peel off a few days later and I'd think that it was the end of it but no matter what I did it always. Came. Back! I also had slight redness and tingling. After MUCH trial and error I finally pinned it down to being allergic to something in burt's bee's lipbalm! (I had been using this for years with NEVER a reaction like I had, hence why it took me so long to fix my problem because I thought it wasn't the issue.) After a couple of weeks sans lipbalm and only using aquaphor (i had to reapply 1-2x an hour because they'd start drying out again) on my lips and gentle face wash around area my lips finally healed.
