Skyla IUD and PMDD

I'm sorry to hear about your terrible issues with Skyla. If there was a way to get a strong warning about the side effects, that would save a lot of agony! Actually, I have been researching IUDs and was leaning towards Skyla or Mirena. I was willing to go through the painful insertion process to eliminate abnormal bleeding, but I don't think it's worth the risk. I'm on a mild anti-depressant already and certainly don't need to feel worse. I do have PMS, but I wouldn't call it severe (thanks to the AD??). Mostly my PMS consists of frequently snapping at everyone plus added instant regret, sleeping terribly and feeling like I could cry at any moment. The fatigue and cravings are ridiculous, but I still drag myself to the gym. Water helps a tiny bit with bloating. I'm wondering why some women would have such extreme reactions to IUDs; I thought birth control containing estrogen cause those emotional storms. That's why I thought it was a fairly safe move to go on Mirena- because it contains a low dose of progesterone (per my ob-gyn). Can anyone clear this up? Again, I hope you feel better soon. No one deserves to feel miserable.
