I wasn't talking about the south in a hypothetical, I also lived there for a long time and I don't think your statement is truthful, you don't live in a place that is honest about its intentions, or you somehow live in a part of Arkansas that is more progressive than how the rest of that state votes.

Ted Cruz and Fuentes would be surprised at how fast things fall apart on them if they actually got what they wanted. If you're thinking the same way as them on the issue, I think you'll also be surprised if that day comes. I hope for your sake since I don't know you, those two on the other hand could use some sort of comeuppance.

This is slightly tangential but my wife is Chinese American, 2nd gen, and I remember having a conversation with her cousin about how the idea of the model minority would disappear whenever it became convenient and she didn't believe me. Then COVID happened and I think you know where that line of logic leads.
