Being gay has nothing to do with being divorced. But, for whatever reason you decided to say that you are gay-divorced and not just divorced. Which is frustrating because all that does is perpetuate this idea that gay people are defined by their gayness. Gay people don’t drink coffee, they gay-drink coffee. Gay people don’t take naps. They take gay-naps, they don’t hike, they gay-hike. What you’ve done is reinforce a negative ideology that many have worked tirelessly to overcome. And I’m not trying to attack you either, but you’re being flippantly dismissive of the other commenter and you really ought to listen to what they’re saying.
