Sleepycast 20 Q & A Episode (leave your questions here)

Oh man i have so many ideas i would just LOVE for you guys to talk about. I guess ill stick to the two most prominent ones.

1) Humanize yourselves a bit. It's evident that the people who watch your content love you guys. And, in my head, it's safe to say that people put you guys on a pedestal. (which is not a bad thing at all) But it comes with an elevations of status, which for me isnt all too great. (not just for you guys but i hate how people gush over celebs all the fucking time or models and how they are better than most.) Talk about yourselves a bit more. Like be a little bit more honest. Talk about some of the things you feel insecure about. You're fears. Your hopes and dreams. Your mentors or the people that inspire you. Make the fans understand that you guys arent above us. Youre average joes. Like us. Like our neighbors.

2) I believe that the words art and artist are two exclusive definitions. Anyone can make art, but being an artist, in my eyes, is a state of being. For me the definition of art is something that makes a large percentage of those who consumed it have deep and emotional reactions. Whereas being an artist is where you dedicate a very large amount of yourself into what ever action you're doing to express a thought or feeling. A person working at a production line is an artist when they purposely mess up a product to spite their high ups. Or when a scientist sacrifices their time or relationships to discover something that hasnt been defined before. Same as a welder, a guitarist, and a cartoonist. Like I know of you guys have put the minimal effort into something you considered low quality. Then when you let people see it they deem it to be outstanding, very funny, etc. So basically anyone can make art. (Something that makes people have a very strong reaction to it. Be it humor, disgust, fear.) But to be an artist is on a whole other level of dedication. Where you put your very soul and blood into something and it yields to something that is very personal and passionate to you. When you have and idea, message, an itch to express something and you put time and the energy to perfectly express that idea through what ever medium you can, is when you are in the state of being an artist. but this is my ideology haha. As cartoonists and passionate people of your craft im sure you may agree or disagree and it would be very nice to hear your opinons on this.
