Slow map: Mapping Britain's intercity footpaths - Would you know the best way to walk from Leeds to Manchester? If not, then you're not alone. Geographer Daniel Raven-Ellison has a solution; a map created by volunteers during lockdown to show the best walking routes between Britain's main towns.

I am aware of that, but there is no point in interacting with the idiot who made the comment. What you haven't realise is comment aren't just written for you, but everyone else here who reads them.

That does change the point that while sarcasm your point isn't relevant, runners, especially long distance ones, aren't commuting, aren't going anywhere, they are running loops for the activity of running.

Running largely isn't a transport method, even after 3 miles you are sweaty and need a shower and a change of clothes (great for burning calories however), if you had used cycling as your example it would be perfectly valid, people do cycle 3, 5, 10, even 15 miles as a functional distance for transport.
