Small-Scale Question Sunday for the week of July 26, 2020

As long as we're doing silly questions, I was lying half-away today and found myself pondering this:

If a super-tanker full of powdered gelatin sinks down to the bottom of the ocean, and the resulting combined mass is distributed evenly around the ship, does the matrix have enough nutritional content that something down there will eventually eat it all away? Would it be structurally sound enough to remain coherent and intact indefinitely, in the face of currents and whatnot? Might some kind of creature try to burrow and live inside a gelatin-hole? Would something else eventually dissolve it? Or would there just be a more or less stable boat-jello down there indefinitely?
