Smiths Falls, Ont., funeral business dissolves the dead, pours them into town sewers

Neato! These guys were great when my dad died. He got cremated the old fashioned way.

But these guys have my deepest respect on a personal level so I'm down to let them do whatever here.

A little bit of backstory. My dad was a Presbyterian minister in smiths falls and never charged anyone to do funeral services. He believes that funerals were a right for families and refused to take money for them. (in the event that families were insistent on paying him he'd donate the money to charity instead)

So fast forward to 2013 and my dad has died of ALS. Which really is one of the worst ways to go out there. After the funeral these guys come up to us and tell us that they really admired my dad for not charging anyone for funerals and by extension, didn't charge us.

I know obviously they can't do that all the time or they'd go out of business. I know this is probably gonna be long since buried. But if you DO make it all the way down to see this. Please let this story influence how you feel about this practice. These guys are pretty fucking solid in my books
