Smog documentary blocked by China after becoming viral hit

I expected this to happen as it does defame the CPC, and I expected ignorance...but for 1000 people to upvote a comment without knowing anything about the situation is ridiculous, especially coming from Reddit. Anything that makes the Chinese government look bad or causes potential outrage or anything along those lines is blocked, that's how it works in China. It's not an attempt to block citizens from information like the top comment ignorantly claims. Contrary to popular belief, China is doing a lot to stop pollution. They limit the amount of cars on the road, tag cars that do not meet emission standards and they are either barred from driving period, or can only drive at certain times of the day. In an effort to protect the general public, they have been moving factories out of heavily populated areas so the smog doesn't effect them as much. Some of you may know that there is also a goal to have emissions peak by 2030...that's definitely a step forward, and a lot better than nothing. A lot of you have no clue how their government works as well, let alone why they aren't do as much, and why they are the way they are and do the things they do. The reason is simple. The party is CPC is divided and a lot of the power lays in the hands of goons put in place by Jiang Zemin, the guy that persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in order to keep power. Hu Jintao (former president and GS) and Xi Jingping (current president and GS) have been trying to get rid of these guys for years, but it takes time. Recently Xi Jingping has had quite a few victories and is really making progress. Until the goons and 610 office is removed, Xi Jingping does not have full power, nor can the CPC completely take control. With that being said, pollution is not a concern as there is a power struggle. I have been looking at pollution maps for months now which means I have quite a bit of knowledge about this. Looking at a map will show you that Beijing, Tianjin, and some smaller areas near there are the biggest problems. Other than that, every other places hit unhealthy levels relatively often, but are generally pretty good in terms of pollution. There are also places like Shenzen (a tier 1 city) as well as cities in the Fujian province (like Fuzhou and Xiamen) that almost never go above unhealthy for sensitive groups and are typically around good-moderate, even Shanghai is pretty good on pollution. Most Chinese cities generally peak around 150-165 in summer on a bad day, and peak around 180-220 in the winter. Also, there are SEZs (Special Economic Zones, Shenzen and an area in Shanghai are examples) that are attempting to curb pollution and are model cities that aim to try and find solutions that don't hurt economic progress.

TL;DR - This video was banned as it defames the CPC, be it indirect or direct and may cause unwanted drama. China IS doing a lot to curb pollution. The reason they don't do more is because of political instability and a very big power struggle. Contrary to popular belief, Chinese cities aren't as polluted as one would think.

The bashing of China is unnecessary, especially when it likely from people who have never actually been to China or have not even bothered to learn about it.
