Smoking medical marijuana is affecting our relationship

This point of view is understandable and likely true for some (and possibly me to some extent) but CBD does not stimulate my appetite quite like THC does which is the foundation of why I began smoking regularly in the first place, and had stopped when the treatment was successful.

I hover somewhere between 10-20 pounds underweight since the condition began and became very cachexic due to nutrient malabsorption and lack of appetite. Marijuana brought me back within the “normal” (although still low due to muscle loss) weight range.

Although I only began experiencing pain, discomfort, depression and anxiety after I developed the condition, treating insomnia with marijuana is admittedly not the best course of action, and I’m sure other pharmaceuticals could be used to treat the anxiety and depression, with CBD playing a role in pain relief.

But then I ask myself, is it better to take multiple pharmaceutical drugs in conjunction with CBD or just smoke as I do now? And if I do take those drugs with CBD, what is there to increase my appetite? I’m not aware of a drug specifically for this so in my ignorance please let me know if there is one - I’d love to speak with my doctor about it. I haven’t had any doctor recommend such a drug yet although I have seen quite a few and they were all aware of my MJ consumption.

That being said, I would call it a stretch to say I’m abusing the medical marijuana system to get high - every time my treatment has been successful I’ve quit smoking because I no longer had a reason to. Smoking marijuana, especially as I was at first (which I would consider abuse personally) is not without its downsides and I’m acutely aware of that, but insofar the benefits have outweighed the negatives as far as my physical and mental health is concerned.
