SMOOTH AMBLER INVENTORY UPDATE

It was confirmed on smooth dramblers facebook group last night in case there are still any doubts.

From John Foster:

"Ok. Cat out of bag.

Here's the skinny, which is a phrase I always think is funny when I use it.

Effective immediately, we are suspending production of OSB 99 Proof and OSX until further notice. Availability of Old Scout Single Barrel/Cask Strength, Contradiction, and the new Old Scout American Whiskey remains healthy. Custom OSB will also continue to be available, although with the same pace (or a bit slower, maybe) that you're already used to.

Why? See: Old Scout Rye.

Folks, despite years of aggressive effort to replace mature whiskey stores at a decent price, we've just been unable to. And thanks to the amazing, but unforeseen boost this year in OSB, we're outpacing our predictions pretty heavily. That left us with a tough choice: slow the pace by suspending a few skus, or continue to tear through our inventory and one day turn around and be out. We chose the first option.

While we own a fair amount of whiskey, some homemade and some not, our merchant-bottled inventory is simply not yet mature enough to be worthy of Old Scout. And you know us well enough to know we're not gonna bottle a 3 year old OSB just because other people do something similar or because we want to make a quick buck. We want to make a slow buck. In a way that makes you AND us happy and proud.

Trust that our foot is on the gas at all times to procure amazing whiskey at a price we can all live with. That will not change or diminish. Lots can happen between now and the not so distant future.

Until then, we hope you'll hang in there with us during this adjustment and continue to support OSBSB, Contradiction, OSAW, and a custom OSAW as soon as we figure that out.

That's as straight as I know how to shoot you.

I'm sure you'll have questions. Let's hear 'em."
