The smuggling missions in Fehu are still more profitable than anything else in the game.

Im a new player. After reading about Fehu/Robigo (and daydreaming about piloting the Fer-De-Lance since I first noticed it), I sold my Imperial Courier and bought a Cobra. Not a great purchase in terms of jump range, but it could carry more cargo. I did the 27 (jesus christ) jumps to Robigo, after intense fuel scooping and an emergency visit an adjacent system because of a streak of purple/red unscoopable stars. Once there, I got one 3.7mill smuggling mission, and 3 normal cargo missions at approx 800k each. I didnt have more cargo space, so I didnt bother reload cycling to get all smuggling missions.

I started on my way, and immediately I noticed that a lot more pirates spawned to interdict me. I was fighting of interdictions or submitting on purpose to outrun them, left right and center. I also got a host of people telling me to follow them only for them to offer me 40k for an 800k mission...

Eventually, I made it in one piece, after almost wrecking my ship in silent running when trying to enter a station... Did all my deliveries, earned a solid ~6mill, and bought an ASP. That shortened me to only 14-ish jumps, with enough fuel capacity to not bother with scooping, and 60T of cargo space. Went back to Robigo, and didnt get a single smuggling mission. Even through many reload cycles, nothing. What I did get, however, was 15 missions for about ~800k-1mill, so I would be making about 15mill profit. So I set off with a full cargo hold. The trip was as hazardous as ever, with the ASP being much harder to control than the Cobra, with the added mass. However I made quick work of any interdictors with my 6 hardpoints, so it was fine. The trip went much quicker than last time, but delivering cargo to 15 different systems (although relatively tightly grouped; max 3 jumps from one to another if I planned the correct route) was incredibly lame lol. It took a lot longer than I had anticipated, but at the end of the night I had earned 21mill and actually felt like I had accomplished something.

Next time, though, Im definitely gonna wait for the smuggling missions, as Im not doing 15 fucking deliveries again, god damn. That docking computer proved invaluable in the end, but still.
