The snips from my Ender 3 were getting a little tired and showing some wear and tear. Ordered a new set from Creality. They’re not cheap at all, however they did come with a free CR-10 V2...

I have an older maker select that the prusa effectively replaced. I like having one stock printer that I don't mess with and the maker select was getting long in the tooth, especially after I replaced the metzi board with the janky one stock one from my ft5.

Currently have a custom core XY printer that I probably wouldn't do again. I'll never get it polished up as nicely as I'd like but it's rocking a duet wifi, e3d v6 nozzle, bondtech extruder and e3d v6 hot end. Prints really nicely but I occasionally have hiccups connecting to the duet and I've had to redesign a few things multiple times to get there. And even then whenever I decide to change something the printer is normally out of commission for a month.

Leading to the Cr10s which has a bondtech clone on a direct drive mount I designed. Plus a microswiss hotend. I fought that thing for days to get the bowden to work and just decided to axe it. Prints great now but since I usually have at least one print going at any time I still it a lot and it the bed needs to be retrammed at least every other print. I'll fix that someday lol. I originally wanted this to be the printer that I wouldn't modify but it just needed too much work to be that printer. Plus as we mentioned the power save and filament detector switch are just not implemented all that well, even flashed with th3d firmware it's not the greatest. Really wish it had a 24V system, the newer creality printers have that covered.

Which lead to the Prusa.
