I was socked to find how many people in here don't like Season 3

The problem with modern day television (especially American television), is that viewers not only want everything to be perfect, they always want more. The expectations are set way too high and you have to accept the fact that not everybody is going to be satisfied.

I honestly didn't think Westworld would (or should) be a long series to begin with. But also, I'm not complaining that we got S3 or that they've been renewed for a 4th season. Yeah the show isn't set in the park anymore, but what do people expect? After S2, aside from maybe revisiting the park when the series is coming to and end, there's not much more they can do with there without the story feeling contrived. And yes there's no Anthony Hopkins (so far) this season, but is that really such a big deal to everyone? If Ford was the only reason you watched the show, that's your fault not theirs. The current cast of Westworld (old and new) are all amazing in their own respect.

I also think the GOT comparisons are stupid and unfair. GOT was adapted from a series of novels, Westworld is almost entirely original work. Season 1 may have been based off the original movie from the 70s, but the characters and overall plot are very different. Plus, comparing everything to GOT is just setting yourself up for failure.

So far I've been enjoying S3, not any more and not any less than S1 or S2, but I like them for different reasons and for what they are.
