Software suggestion for ripping audio CDs

I'm looking for suggestions for software that I can use to rip audio CDs.

I would recommend either Exact Audio Copy or CUERipper.

I want to rip in MP3 CBR and FLAC.

You can rip to FLAC (or any other lossless audio format of your choice) and then convert/transcode the files to MP3 by using any one of the below tools – foobar2000 can easily do a one time batch transcode after you've ripped all your CDs.

Rather than using CBR for MP3, using VBR (variable bit rate) will provide for greater efficiency – see the Hydrogenaudio wiki article for LAME for recommended settings. You may also want to look at other lossy audio formats such as AAC, Vorbis, Opus, Musepack, WavPack lossy, and lossyWAV.

You can also convert to both FLAC and MP3 during the ripping process using REACT or MAREO with Exact Audio Copy or dBpoweramp can do this out of the box. REACT and MAREO are a little tricky to use but free, whereas dBpoweramp is easy buts costs money.
