Solo blackout players when a new gamemode releases

While I think that camping is a "valid" tactic, I also think that playing more aggressive is objectively better in the long term.

First reason: Campers are predictable. There are only so many hidey holes in final zones, and campers are almost always looking to be in the best hiding spot they can find. Be it a slightly larger rock than the others, or a bathroom, or the stairwell of a two-story brick, you can generally just count on them to be there. You don't even have to think about it, it's just part of the arithmetic. While they might have the advantage against teams that try to push them where they're fortified, the chances of the final zone allowing them to camp it all the way till the end aren't that great.

Second Reason: Playing aggressively gives you much more practice at Blackout's gun mechanics. If you camp the majority of the game then you've gotten a lot less practice shooting at people, especially at medium to long range. In the majority of matches you'll have to challenge somebody for the win, and most likely near the end during a rotation. If you come up against a squad that has been fragging their whole career instead, you're gonna lose.

Third Reason: Passive play awards less loot overall. Yes, you expend resources in a gunfight, but you usually get to pick up wayyy more than you used to kill somebody.

Fourth Reason: Passive play gets punished on rotation. For a few reasons. You're less familiar playing at a disadvantage, e.g. pushing into a "checkpoint". Passive players typically can't have the best positioning unless they lucked out with the zone, as they'll have to contest for prime real estate. Passive players probably haven't "cleared the neighborhood" around their drop zone, so they're more likely to encounter other players during vulnerable rotations. Also, people who camp indoors have reduced sightlines and probably aren't as aware of where other people are on the map as they rotate.

That said, full send aggro probably doesn't win as much either unless you're an absolute god. Moderation in everything I guess.

Personally, I play really aggressively, and my duo partner / two of my quads team doesn't, so our strategy tends to sit somewhere in the middle. Works out really well for us, personally. I don't play solos hardly at all so I can't really comment on that strategy.
