Solo PvP advice?

The meta 4 shield extender is slightly overpriced so look into using the meta 3 module instead. Personally I never bothered with guns on a tristan like that because the 75s don't really hit out reliably enough at 24+km to be worth having to meta the shield extender but if you want to use them that that's fine. You may want to swap the rigs out for speed/agility rigs. 1 anti-em, 1 polycarbon and one aux thruster is pretty standard.

Without a web acolytes or warriors are much better than hobs in terms of speed and tracking and damage type. Hornets are another option as they get more speed than hobs and a decent chunk more ehp in shields, especially the navy version. So for kiting use anything other than hobs.

Kiting tristans are super easy to use kiters that get respectable dps and speed. My FW corp actually calls them Cancer tristans because they're so common and such a pain to fight. Keep at range 22km and manually pilot away from anything that tries to slingshot you. Against AB brawlers you should be able to perma kite and keep your drones alive with some micro, you just need to watch your cap. Slicers will eat you alive if you try 1v1 them, other laser ships aren't as dangerous but something like a beam tormentor will be able to hit you. Against other kiters you're in for a good fight; manually piloting to get into/out of point range can help you escape/catch ships faster than you.

Avoid going into a plex on a brawling ship like an incursus but if you end up doing it anyway pre-heat your prop mod and fly at 90 degrees from where they are coming from. In one cycle you might be able to escape and kite them but it is risky.

If you find yourself in a many vs 1 fight make sure to draw them off the beacon or acceleration gate so their friends have to burn into you.

If you can afford drugs then mindflood really helps ease the cap pressure you face and has no relevant side effects to worry about.

As with all drone boats, keep a spare load in the cargo. Lots of the time you will end up leaving them behind. Having to buy overpriced ones where you are or go home really sucks.

Train thermodynamics to IV, gallente frigate V and your drone skills to IV+ to get the most out of the hull.

GL learning to solo and dont forget to insure your ships.
