A solution to online 'toxicity' - radio silence

depends. I don't talk much anyhow, so I only use voice com if the game requires it. Since this in my case would only be with organised Arma3 events and Squad on public servers, I get along fine. Both those games require voice com in a disciplined military fashion. Somebody being toxic in voice chat would not last long. Haven't encountered toxic com in those games. People are only drawn to it if they enjoy the disciplined military style communication and extensive teamplay.

In every other game I have all chat and voice switched off. Even on Arma3 public KOTH servers I stay away from regular com. Since I only pilot helicopters in this gamemode, I talk to my passengers like a pilot would and that's all com I need.

Been a gamer for too many years to even try any com on regular online games. Too many people with serious issues can afford a microphone.
