Some guys are saying like Galadriel is a Mary Sue in this show. Actually, she should be more powerful and wiser to be faithful to the source material.

Speaking as a long-time female nerd, and not just with RoP but with waaaay too many shows and movies anymore, I'm growing quite tired of being pandered to in this way. All these productions keep spouting off about "diversity," "empowerment," blah blah blah, but honestly, it's fucking insulting to keep being told that in order to feel represented my characters have to not only be "one of the guys" but more often than not unflawed, always right, and condescending as fuck. Hollywood is *totally not* mansplaining to me what it means to be a woman and gaslighting us into calling that "empowerment."

I miss that brief moment in history between the 70s and 90s where I was allowed to be smart and mature.
