Some Lebanese are considering getting rid of Hezbollah, what can Israel do to assure Lebanon that they would stay safe?

Honestly, Lebanon is a mess. I'm not entirely convinced that removing hezb will lead to them magically becoming friendly towards us. The problem with fractured countries is that they're volatile, and they can change their policies and opinions every year depending on which sect is in power. Can you really be sure that there won't be another sect there that'll step up to takes hezb's place?

If lebanon was being represented by one government, it would be easier to deal with them as you'd only be concerned with one body in terms of promises and policy. Honestly, Lebanon doesn't seem like a sovereign nation to me, as they have literal militias ready to take power when shtf. Not only hezbollah, wasn't there some christian warlord that said he has 10,000 troops with weapons ready for anything? I'm sure the sunnis there are the same, as are the druze. You simply can't deal with a country like that, it's too chaotic and lacks any certainty.

Let them solve their shit on their own, revisit when it's a functioning nation state.
