Some music to listen to while playing (spotify pl)

In complete honesty, SC2013 had such potential and great people working on it but it was converted into a trainwreck by higher execs. Just listen to the music, compare screenshots of the environment from SC to C:S and SC is amazingly well designed to look pretty and feel smooth. S:C is smooth and well designed but in aesthetics, SC2013 wins IMHO.

The music was amazing. The artwork and models are beautiful. The logistics were a bit shakey but the game was solid on its basis. It felt like a living and breathing city. Then they implemented DRM, small tiles, $30 Balloon DLC, bad backend server setup on launch, and a ton of issues that made it really hard to enjoy. I bought it, played it, stopped due to not being able to enjoy it. Then I tried again and again, but I was unable to find that spark from SC4 or SC2000

But then you have C:S and this game is so open, so available for modifications and expansions. The models are great, the music is enjoyable but what makes it an amazing game is the openness of the developers and their constant "We're working on it!" attitude. Their connections to the fans via social networks and their effort to satisfy their customers and not their publishers.

Dont get me wrong, S:C is also amazing, the tiltshift effect, unique individuals, great models and music but I always felt there was something missing. I feel that this game could have also been a lot better given 3-4 more months in development. But alas you cant keep a game in constant development...

I really hope Colossal Order keeps the game updated and someday someone will create 4K textures just as how there's about 200 new models people made. I believe the mods are the key to the game and maintaining its fans. Just look at skyrim.
