Why do some muslim women sometimes where a hijab and other days not?

If a Parent forces their Child to worship Allah, their faith will be dependent on their Parent. When the Parent is not present, there is no reason to worship.

By teaching a Child why to worship Allah, their faith will be dependent on their own logic, reasoning and belief. Their faith won't be dependant on their Parents level of control or influence.

For many Ex-Muslims the first scenario is the case, where they have been forced into religion without being given the tools and knowledge to understand why. So when they become independent, they push away everything their Parents have forced on them.

And I'm not cherry picking verses, at the very least I am providing them to support my points, where are yours?
