If people are highlighted enough to be on fking wall street journal they are the outlier, not the norm. Ive heard a lot about the supposed most whales are losers who spent their saving on games but ive played some way more expensive gacha before genshin and the losers like people seems to think was the norm are in the minority, i can remember 1 clear cases of 1 guy tried to eat less (1 cup noodle a day) to spend on the game then got to go to the hospital and 1 guy spent his uni funds that his mom gave him. But the majority are fucking rich ass kids or just rich people that post their audis and shit on our guild group chat. One kid even said he has 10k allowance every week so him spending 3k a week is nothing.
