I have some questions for you guys, and a rant.

I've admitted that I'm a little left of center, you admit to being more on the conservative side. I think we both would like to be in the center, and if we weren't such open-minded, free thinking people I believe neither of us would admit to being the least bit biased. So yes, I think you're entirely right about how complex the gradient is. To simply, it seems there is no center. Which I suppose is the true beauty/horror of the system, there is no way to not be tricked into picking one side over the other.

I used to be addicted to talk radio, both NPR type stuff and right wing talk radio, back before I found out about podcasts, and I remember the main difference between the two sides being the way arguments were presented, with the conservative stuff being very, in-your-face, with lots of yelling and hate driven speeches. Whereas NPR/Democracy Now had lots of very rational sounding people making what came off as very reasonable points. I realize now that doesn't mean both sides aren't equal amounts of propaganda in their own ways, but for me back then the choice between the two felt like the choice between Good and Evil. Especially when combined with my mental scars from suffering through two terms of Bush Jr. Then I 'woke up' and really understood the two sides of the same coin thing.

I honestly haven't listened to/watched any news for years now, all my podcasts are non news and I only stream my TV and non of it is news. I seem to get all my news from social media now, and googling articles. I tried the Alex Jones thing years ago, but quickly realized he was a fear monger to Rush Limbaugh's hate monger, so this is why I like the idea of a show like NA, but since I can't seem to listen to it either, I think I'll just take it's most important point to heart, that there's a hidden agenda behind almost everything, and move on. I did just sign up for the newsletter a few days ago so I'll still give that a shot.
