Some stranger somewhere still remembers you because you were kind to them when no one else was.

Pay it forward.

A few weeks ago I was the recipient of a wonderful act of kindness from a stranger. Later that day I bought some weed from a new dealer, but his delivery driver gave me two £70 bags instead of one. I called the guy and explained the situation, showed him the picture of the bud on the scales, and arranged for him to pick up the extra bag.

Afterwards he explained it had been going on for a week and no one said anything until me, and that his birthday was in a few hours and it was the best way he could’ve started the day.

I could never have known that, but my honesty and goodwill - spurred by another stranger’s goodwill - made this guy’s day and now he goes out of his way to make sure he sorts me out.

I could’ve got a half ounce for half price, but instead I’ll be reaping the rewards of my kindness for as long as I buy from this guy.

The simplest acts of kindness can have profound effects on people far greater than you could ever realise in the moment.

Plus I get good deals now, so win/win.
