Some thoughts, observations and ramblings about Skyward Sword

Exactly I mean even the Mogma thing just seemed odd because well it's the first time you get bombs. Sure it's kinda silly for the game to tell you how to roll bombs when you hit yes, but not everyone knows how to roll bombs that well. A quick explanation of how to roll bombs is just trivial compared to I don't know Ravio explaining how to equip items or how to use the bracelet. Seriously I had to do some mini tutorial thing in order to be able to rent items.

And why is going from point A to B a bad thing? Shadow of the Colosus had the same exact dowsing feature for bosses! Heck dowsing was better than the lens of truth because it didn't reveal obvious solutions to hidden puzzles (invisible chests, enemies, walls) heck best use of dowsing was locating the sandship because you couldn't tell what part of the sandship you could hit. Most Zelda games with the lens of truth mechanic were more like "lol boss is invisible here he is guys"

You want to talk about obvious hand holding? What about freaking Midna? Oh what's that invisible statue that your wolf senses revealed? Nope better inform you there is a missing statue! Oh what's that chains you need to grab unto? Better have my hand thing point at the chains! Oh stalactites need to be shot down? Better inform link he needs to shoot them down. Oh monkey steals your lantern? Better inform you the monkey stole your lantern. Oh need to climb up a cliff in wolf form? Better guide you entire way! Hot Goron rock can melt Zora ice room? Better comment on it being hot!

Twilight Princess: You meet Midna. She breaks your shackles. After escaping, Midna tells you she will help you but you have to do exactly as she says and tells you how to ask her for help. When you encounter a spirit, Midna tells you how to use your senses to see it. Midna tells you that the attack controls are the same as when you were human. Midna leaves to the other side of a gate and tells you to figure out how to reach her. When you rejoin Midna, she reminds you to use your senses. Midna tells you she can guide you to jump up the broken staircase. Midna tells you if you can reach a window you might figure out where you are. Midna comments on the twilight and asks if you still don't know where you are. She tells you there is someone she wants you to meet in the tower ahead. Midna points out another spirit. Reminds you to use your senses. You meet Zelda and she explains what happened. Midna reminds you that Link's friends got kidnapped and she will help him find them if he becomes her servant. She teleports him back to Ordan Spring and points out that he's stuck as a wolf. When you leave the spring, Midna reveals she is still with you. She tells you you need her to enter the twilight again so you have no choice but to obey her. She tells you to find a sword and a shield. A squirel interrupts you to tell you you can talk to animals. When you approach the mayor you hear them talk about a sheild. After listening further, Midna shows you the window you need to reach and asks you to look for a place to jump from. A guy attacks you with a hawk. When you find a place to jump up to a roof, Midna tells you to scare the guy attacking you with a hawk. Midna tells you you found the shield. When you get the shield Midna reminds you that a sword is next. As soon as you leave the house with the shield you are shown a cutscene showing you where the sword is. Once you get the sword Midna tells you to return to the twilight. On the way there Ordona commands you to enter his spring where you are attacked by shadow beasts. After beating them, Ordona tells you that the other light spirits have had their light stolen and that you must help them to clear the twilight and reclaim your human form. Midna tells you that Faron Woods is covered in twilight and asks if you still want to enter even though you might not be able to come back. Midna says she will hold on to your sword and shield for you. She says she needs you to collect some things but won't tell you what yet. She says she hears the light spirit's cries ahead. You are attacked by shadow beasts again and Midna talks about it and then leaves you to fight by yourself. When you fail, Midna tells you how to do her charge attack. You meet Faron and recieve the vessel of light and are told to find the insects of darkness. When you kill the insects near the monkey she mentions that the boss in the Forest Temple went crazy and ever since the forest has been full of monsters. Collecting the last tear of light teleports you back to Faron where you are returned to your human form, told you are chosen by the gods, and tasked with retrieving the dark power from the temple. Midna pops up and repeats what Faron just told you. She adds that your friends might be in there. You have to talk to the guy outside Faron woods to get the key to the gate. He tells you it's dangerous, but you look well-equipped. He warns that the woods are covered in fog and you should keep your lantern full and stock up on oil. He sells you a bottle of oil for 100 rupees. When you reach the woods a monkey steals your lantern. Midna tells you to follow it. It guides you through the fog very slowly on an unnecessarily long path. You meet the Hero's Shade for the first time and are told you suck. He teaches you the ending blow in a tutorial. You are told there are 6 more skills to learn. He tells you to look for statues that howl.

Midna reacts to King Bulbin talking.
