Kierkegaard defines faith as the act of believing or in accepting outside the boundaries of reason. That to someone looking in from the outside, it all would seem nonsensical (kinda like the story of Job) and that belief in the absurd is a requirement of faith. He even used the story where Abraham is asked to sacrifice his son and Abraham’s proceeds to do so, withot question! the story then goes on to say an angel appeared and stopped Abraham before he’s could do it and praised him for his faith.
How do you call yourself a believer but can only have faith in things that are rational and explainable. Jesus isn’t rational or explainable but you say you’re a Christian. You must then believe Jesus literally rose from the dead, as a human being, after three whole days. He even walked out of a tomb with a massive stone that took multiple people to move blocking the entry, and on top of that guarded with Roman centurions. So that works but Job couldn’t be real? Christians are a funny motherfuckers.
