I think your statement is a bit overblown... 1.4 billion chinese people would be furious so that the government will ban wows?

I really doubt every single chinese care about this issue that strong enough so that they will clammer for something like that...

As a chinese, I have Taiwanese friends who have very different views, and boy do we have interesting discussions from those differences... But at the end we are all culturally chinese and that is what matters at the end.

One China, two systems refers to HK and macau, but it can easily refer to PRC and ROC. There are two separate governments who claim to be china... and it will remain that way until they have reunification.

Just like in chinese history: you had the northern dynasties and the southern kingdoms. you had the warring state period.. you had the 3 kingdoms periods. They are all Chinese and they are all claiming legitimacy.. Its just another one of these periods in history.

One thing is for sure: if you want China and Taiwan to reunite: antics like this will not help move towards that. You aren't going to get the good will and trust of those people in taiwan to do it in good faith.
