Somebody responsible please take this cat and her kittens.

Update: No contact yet from poster. I called Weld humane society. They said they are full, but they HAVE to accept animals anyways. Kid probably realized that kitties would be stuck in overflow and preferred rehoming instead.

I did a Google image search of mom cat with kittens. It's not found anywhere else, so it appears this is original content.

It seems this post is legit.

I'd guess this is a younger person, probably in teens, who thought checking the "OK to contact with [insert legal language means junk emails]" box upon placing post meant people could text them.

This post was probably made via mobile.

I'd bet real money every single reply is going straight into bulk/junk mail folder. They ALL did when I posted, just last month. I'd bet the teenager doesn't know to check that folder. I bet it's a kid expecting texts, getting none, and eventually cat winds up at humane society anyway.

So, sleuthing done, I contacted Craigslist (after a call got nowhere, and "help" was useless) via what the internets says is best way: billing@craigslist(dot)org:

Dear Craigslist staff,

The following story is put together by searching Google images, a phone call to the humane society, and the text of this Craigslist ad.

In my town of Greeley, Colorado there is a man who fed a feral cat. Three days ago the feral cat had six kittens in his back yard. The man no longer wanted the cat.

So his kid took the cat to Weld County Humane Society, who told him they were full. They said they'd accept the cat and newborn kittens, but she'd be in a crowded area.

So the kid took the cat and kittens home. Kid gave them a basket, filled with his clean and folded clothes, to sleep in, to nurse the kittens in.

Kid snapped two pictures of the cat and kittens and made a post on craigslist briefly detailing the story.

Kid never posted on Craigslist before.

"Text me if you're interested" kid wrote. Kid checked the box marked "OK to contact me with commercial interests" thinking this meant people could text him. His number is not on the ad.

People have emailed him/her. I have. Three times. From two different accounts. Going from recent personal experience, I'd bet these Craigslist replies wind up in his junk/bulk email folder.

I made a post replying to the kid on Craigslist.

Can you help me get ANY contact information of this kid? Or send an email directly to his/her inbox? Or ANYTHING??

I want to help this mom cat and her six newborn kittens. I have connections with the Fort Collins Cat Rescue. They'll foster the kittens, neuter/spay, and find homes for all including the mom.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

A second person has contacted me from the craigslist ad. My ad, intended to contact the OP. Seems I need to change the language so folks don't think I am OP.

And the saga continues.
