Someone CUT my cat's WHISKERS.

Dude, I never said feral cats were a different species. I don't know where you got that. But ok. And ok, I was wrong then if a cat has to be a different species of cat to be non domesticated. I don't care about being wrong, and also I never said cats shouldn't be indoor pets, they should. I never once argued that. My argument, which wasn't even directed at you in the first place you just invited yourself, is that owning a cat in general is not irresponsible and bad for the environment, which is what the comment above stated. And my other point was yes, domesticated house cats do hunt, it is nature, but house cats, (I'll stop using domesticated since I think that's where confusion is coming in on both our sides) can't possibly be the major cause of these environmental issues. I never argued that cats weren't invasive, they are. My argument was to the guy who said owning a cat is just irresponsible and all cats are bad for the environment. Your article was talking about outdoor cats, most likely (but never directly stated that I saw) stray cats. OP and I are talking about house cats. Yes a human will affect wether a cat hunts or not, not only because of food but because humans (good cat owners anyway) play with their cats and get them to express their natural instincts, in safe ways with toys, meaning they don't need to hunt for instincts either. Also, because they don't hunt as often, or for necessity, house cats are far less successful when they do hunt, and don't always even kill it. House cats are not 100% the cause for the extinction of those animals. And it isn't irresponsible to simply own a cat. That is my main point. I'm not the best typer so sorry if this is all over the place.
