Saying a republican wants to “cage babies” because they don’t support immigration is the same as a saying a democrat wants to kill babies because they support abortion.

Both of these arguments is what has disenchanted me with politics. Everything is based on emotion and nobody actually cares about the facts. Everyone has to be right and can’t stand anyone who disagrees with them.

“All republicans are racist and cage babies.” “All democrats are lazy and kill babies”

Both of these arguments play to people’s emotional responses, and don’t actually get to the real problems that everyone should care about.

Until people are willing to put aside the petty name calling, things will never change.
