Someone tricked me into buying phones for them

So the type of contracts where you preload minutes/data/whatever onto them are for burner phones, not for the latest Iphone. Any contract where you get an expensive phone for "free" has a clause in it saying how long you must remain on the contract.

Usually, for a $1000 phone (the iphone X), to get it for "free" requires a 2 year contract. Basically, you can either pay $1000 upfront for the phone and $50/monthly for the line, or $0 upfront for the phone and $100/monthly but you must stay on this plan for the stipulated length of time (two years)

It's not a one-and-done, type deal. You will receive a 24 monthly bills for each phone (so 72 bills total over the course of two years), and then after those two years have passed, you will be able to cancel.

OR

You can go into the store, cancel the contract ASAP, and pay for the value of each phone, plus a cancellation fee. So that would be 1000 per phone, plus several hundred for each of the three contracts being severed. Expect 4000-5000 in expenses all told.

DO NOT IGNORE THIS, IT WILL NOT GO AWAY. The longer you wait, the more you will have to pay. If you don't have 4k-5k available right now, go and cancel anyway, and set up a plan with collections to pay it off. If you wait, you will have three phone bills roll in every single month, and you will be obligated to pay for all of them.
