When I was 21 I used to hang out with a group of people from work. I had a huge crush on one of the guys in our group. At the time he had a girlfriend so nothing happened. Over the years we lost contact. I got married and had a little one. Flash forward six years later I had just separated from my husband and I was looking to reconnect with old friends. I had been planning to get together with my old work group. I keep thinking about him. I was hoping he was single. I even thought he could be the first guy I would be with after my separation.

One night I am sitting at the bar with my friends and this guy walks through the door. He immediately caught my attention. It was him! I took this as a sign.

We were on and off for a few years. (I was going through a lot). Every time we were off I couldn’t help but feel like I was missing something in my life and always went back to him. The last time I ended it I told him if I come back that’s it I will never leave again but I needed to figure some things out. He told my friend either it’s over for good or he is going to have my baby.

Months went by and I thought about him everyday even we I was seeing someone else. I realized I made a huge mistake. Luckily I got him back and I never want to be without him again. Now we live together and couldn’t be happier. It took a long time but our connection was so strong it made us always fight for each other and never give up. Sometimes you can’t fight fate if you believe in that stuff.
