Something fucky this way comes...

If a developer or media type comes out on their public Twitter profile and supports Gamergate, fair enough, we can condemn that pretty easily

which is what this person did. on both of their accounts. both of which were linked to by KiA, with huge visibility and support, and their bane account was even featured here previously for the claim that lion head was censored for bewbs.

did you read the post? did you look at what was actually in it? because you seem to think I went digging for a social and cell phone, and that I'm making ludicrous, impossible associations and connections.

sorry if I don't think a person having a picture of their face and gear on their twitter and their blog means it's ludicrous to assume they are the owner of both that twitter and that blog.

to the point that people get accidentally doxxed

and the thing is, the thing the admin took issue with wasn't what I apologized for in this post. probably due to the fact that everything from that blog, including that blog, is public, and is made public by the person that blog is about because they own that blog.

We're opposed to Gamergate on Ghazi because of what it does, not who supports it.

and this tells me you're criticizing my post without actually reading it, and you're doing the same fucking bullshit people keep fucking doing in this sub, where you have already decided you want to be upset at me about something that isn't even in my post.

my post isn't about "this person is bad because reasons".

my post is "this person has suspicious ties to a lot of GG rallying points and in fact has now been held up as a token dev by GG twice on two different accounts and that's really suspicious and something we know GG does so you probably shouldn't trust GG when they say some AAA dev is supporting them."

but the fact that you weren't even aware your other post counted as doxxing, or didn't think to take the proper precautions

I actually did think to take proper precautions. I also thought that, since what I posted in that thread literally came from KiA's links to their twitter, and that those threads weren't deleted for doxxing, that reposting that info wouldn't count as doxxing since those people volunteered that information themselves on their twitter accounts.

it just turned out that my proper precautions were, for some reason, considered doxxing though they contained no differing information from KiA's threads, which were allowed to stay even after I brought them up to the admins.

If Ghazi's stance on doxxing has changed from "It's unarguably bad" to "Yeah, sorry, my bad, will do better next time" then that's a stance a lot of us won't be comfortable with.

you're presupposing that I set out to doxx. I'm not comfortable with you accusing me of wanting to doxx. you've literally formulated a situation in which I'm the bad guy no matter what. apologizing for making a mistake that I didn't know was a mistake means I'm a bad guy? that's bullshit.

But if we're now endorsing the sort of ferreting through internet dustbins for personal info that we criticize GG for, to the point that people get accidentally doxxed, I'm not happy with that.

literally two twitter accounts, one blog, and that blog is blatantly owned by the person who owns one of those twitter accounts, while it's obvious the other twitter account is owned by that same person.

if those are internet dustbins, then I have to wonder why I'm the first person you're making this complaint against.
