Doesn't matter when the rich own the government huh? Kind of why we're called an oligarchy and see high prices in government run utilities. At least free markets allow competition to cut down on monopolies. Government creates them.

Depends on how they got the resources. Not everything is privately owned. But if someone generates electricity, should they be unable to determine what to do with it? More businesses competing drive down costs. Having one government run one drives it up. I love it how liberals accept monopolies and bullshit if its from the government. We hate Comcast, yet put up with bullshit from the DMV, and people just shrug their shoulders. Its pretty funny.

Yes some will take advantage, but not every human endeavor makes money, but that doesn't mean that they are not of value.
