Something I’ve noticed here...

I’m a newcomer around here too, I usually lurk on Reddit, As I like to learn and keep in touch with neutral news and facts. Recently the quarantine has me back to the basics; Shadow boxing, calisthenics and forms in a city apartment. Saw this collection of Kungfu knowledge around the world and can’t help but chime in when my favorites come up. Also to improve my own and share the love.

So Miaodao is one of the electives in WuTang system. One of my favorites after the long spear, It’s definitely a important part of “Strength training” and it’ll improve your hand forms, and open hand as well. Historically speaking, A beautiful Miaodao was given as a gift to Japan who later developed the Katana, I was told to look at Kendo as inspiration as there are many similarities. Even in practice we started off with the Bamboo Shinai, Wooden Tous, heavier wood before getting a metal one.
