Sometimes I just feel like quitting.

Can you elaborate on exactly why?

Jiu-Jitsu isn't easy. Constantly getting your ego checked, feeling frustrated because you aren't picking up moves as fast as you'd like, or because you keep getting beat(see first example), etc.. all suck. But... I feel I have learned the lessons in the gym that help me in my everyday life, made lifelong friendships from going through the same adversity as peers, and have the confidence I can defend myself against any untrained person{within reason:)}. I wouldn't trade that for a million bucks and would go back in time and try to beat up the"me" that almost quit so many times. There are a lot of ways to make it fresh again. Maybe go drop in another class and see if you like that vibe better, try focusing on small goals, just drill for a while so there's no pressure, find a silly move on YouTube and focus on ONLY that, take a private lesson with high belt to address issues, take a "traincation". Hope youre able to push through and stay the course. Cliche b.s....... black belts are white belts who didn't quit.
