Sometimes it's ok to brag: What is the most selfless thing you've ever done?

One of my friends who was depressed, suicidal, broke, and had no support from his family needed a ride from the bus stop late at night and it was raining heavily. I snuck out and took my mom's car without permission (I was in college at the time), to go pick him up and drive him around to do errands. Huge risk to me with little reward but I was worried about him. Later I realized some of my "help" was also kind of enabling because he was also stalking my best friend (his ex) and told me he was going to kill himself. He stopped talking to me for a few months after I called a suicide hotline on his behalf but later apologized. He started doing better after that.
