Son of van hire company boss whose van was used to mow down a group of worshippers has sparked outrage after saying: ‘It’s a shame they don’t hire out tanks’.

Edit: He was arrested according the the BBC News Website.

Going to get this out of the way first.

In no way do I condone the guy who drove the car into those people, nor do I condone the one who wrote the tweet.

Good. Now that that's said....

What in the actual fuck is happening to my country?! Why do we live in a time where a person can be arrested for saying mean things on the internet?! What happened to freedom of speech? What happened to being able to voice our opinions without repercussion from the authorities? Don't get me wrong, the guy is a prick and what he said shouldn't have been said. But here's the thing. He should still have the right to say it. At the same time we should have the right to call him a dickhead and pay no attention to anything else he may say in the future. That's the whole point of free speech, it's free to everyone and the moment we take it away from people it's no longer free. It's controlled speech. Regulated. No doubt by the spindly fingers of Theresa May who wants to regulate the internet and have it controlled by the government.

And it's probably going to be an unpopular opinion here, but I believe that everyone should be treated equally. In that sense we should respect each other equally and take the piss out of each other equally. We are all equal. Black, white, brown, yellow, male, female, straight, gay, bisexual, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, atheist (but fuck those purple yellow spotted fucks, they can go die for all I care). Everyone is on the same level. No one is above it, below it or next to it.

"And that's the society which we should strive for. True Equality. When I read on the following on the BBC News website I was pissed off to no end. South Wales Police said a 37-year-old man was being held on suspicion of displaying threatening, abusive, insulting written material with intent that is likely to stir up racial hatred."

Islam is a religion, not a race regardless of wha
