I’ve never worked in game development but at my last job (reasons why I left) we were working 12 hours every day which resulted in 100+ hours each pay period.

Yeah the pay checks were a little nice. But I literally got home at 3am. Went to bed. Work up. Went to work. Worked another 12 hours. Get home at 3am again. Rinse. And. Repeat.

My life was a living hell. I had no life outside of work. I couldn’t spend time with family or friends. I was absolutely miserable and I hated every single second of my life at work.

I know people want a lot more content but I feel like most of the people in here have no idea the work that actually goes in. I mean I don’t either but I know that when you work long hours, it doesn’t matter what you’re doing. You’re gonna be miserable.

That’s a fact. Especially if you’ve got deadlines to meet.
