sooo are we gunna talk about the Hbox interview or...NAW..

OK HERES MY HOT TAKE: The way he beat Plup was almost BM. Plup is an amazing player, but he always seems to get tilted in top 8. He has said before that he gets tired, and Scar pointed out that he seems to "give up."

Hbox was going for the cheesiest, noob-slaying rest setups and just generally playing "disrespectful" in a way that would tilt any player. Plup is also from his region; I'm not sure how close they are, but I bet Hbox would consider him a friend.

Essentially, Hbox is so on top of his game, so in control of his character, that it almost seems too easy. Every tournament is a series of Foxes that should counter Puff, but Hbox beats them the same way every time: defensive hop-baits, back-to-back-back-airs, grabs and rests, until the Fox player gets tilted and tries to end the match earlier than Hbox will allow. They make risky, dumb plays, Puff punishes, rinse, repeat.

The fact that he had to face off against a friend in Grands, and play in a style that he knows will tilt his easily-tilted region-buddy, to win yet another tournament to prove... what? That Puff is a good character? That Hbox knows how to beat Fox? That he's a master of the wait-and-bait? Plup had so much more to prove, a much better story to tell, and Hbox utterly demolished him like he was just another Fox main in pools. Dude earned the win, but I don't blame him for wondering: is this all there is?
