Sorry Lady, But Please Leave Our School

The university I went to had a chick fil a like this as well. It was "student run" as in only students worked there because it was a part of the work study program. Just like the taco bell, quiznos, and other food places around campus. The university didn't actually own any of those restaurants, just allowed them to lease locations and in turn the restaurants allowed students to use their university meal swipes as payment and almost solely hired students of the university as workers. Obviously, if there weren't enough students interested or too many conflicting schedules, the restuarant would hire non students to cover the gaps. Not a lot of non students were all that interested though since a lot of the restaurants were closed on weekends and the entire summer.

It's similar to restaurants in airports. They don't own all of the restaurants; the restaurants lease the space.

Same with subways and McDonald's that are in walmart. Walmart does not own them. The restaurants, again, lease that space. In this particular case, they have 10 year master leases and pay rent based off of sales.
