Sorry the ridiculously delayed reply, I only check Reddit on a phone and my phone broke recently and I’m just now Re-signing in. Wish I had better advice to give, I pretty much always buy used or “Preowned” as they try to church it up, the Explorer II in my case was about $1k under market for I believe 2016 off the top of my head, brushed bracket and great condition. My 2 cents, I’d definitely consider that route, and after the initial hit on this model, they do hold value well. Side story, I went crazy and bought my dad a Batman for Christmas (hopefully the last year we exchange gifts and going forward can just enjoy the holiday, but he’d just had some medical stuff so I wanted to splurge and has always wanted a Rolex so I pulled the trigger). The Oyster bracelet has brushed outter and polished inner stainless steel links, which look nice, but I think they will easily scratched. I like the all brushed bracelet on my Explorer because I can wear it to work without worrying. That Batman, I could send pics, it was also used, and priced way beyond retail, like double. The Explorer II isn’t that way, it decreases a little, that’s the main reason I’m leaning towards a great condition used watch, but I also never buy new cars, always let somebody else take the hit and get 2-4 year olds for half the price.
